"The key objective of our team and the National Bank is to implement measures to combat inflation and, as you see, we have succeeded in doing so: the GEL is being strengthened," Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava told journalists after the event dedicated to Mountain Day.
In order to maintain economic growth, the government is actively employing non-monetary leverages, according to Turnava.
The Minister of Economy also said that business places confidence in the government's decisions on normalizing the rate of the national currency.
"These decisions are integral constituents of politics, which will result in a stable GEL rate, economic buoyancy to be ensured through different leverages, and reduced inflation," Turnava declared.
