Head of National Tourism Administration of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili has positive expectations for domestic tourism.
''We have positive expectations. We see that the mood in our sector is positive. From my point of view, may our citizens want to discover and travel across Georgia. The private sector is gradually getting ready to host Georgian citizens. The COVID-19 regulations have been set. The accommodation facilities will have to pass inspection. After a successful inspection, they will be granted the right to host domestic and international visitors,'' Kvrivishvili says, calling on Georgians to travel inside the country.
Georgia opened its domestic tourism today.
Local travelers can visit different parts of Georgia, see the resorts, and enjoy the hotel and food facilities' service.
All protected areas open. The thermal screening will be available before entering the area. Face masks and social distancing are mandatory in buildings and visitors' centers, including caves.
The visitors will enjoy decreased tariffs.
Georgia will host foreign visitors starting on July 1.
