In June 2020, Georgia received 94.5% of money transfers from 18 largest partner countries (over about one million from each state), while in June 2020, these 18 countries accounted for 93.2% of total money transfers, the National Bank of Georgia reports.
In June 2020, the entire money transfers to Georgia amounted to 169.2 million USD (514.8 million GEL). 41.59% of this amount included money transfers from the EU countries (70.38 million USD).
Italy, Greece, Germany, Spain, France, and Poland implemented money transfers.
Italy (26.79 million USD) and Greece (19.89 million USD) are leaders among the EU countries.
In June 2020, remittances to Georgia mostly increased from Azerbaijan, but Russia remains the leader.
