Remuneration of teachers, police officers, soldiers, doctors and retirees will increase in 2020.
According to the Prime Minister, the 2020 budget considers the pension increase by 20 GEL for all retired pensioners, as well as for persons with disabilities. In addition, the pension will increase by 30 GEL for retired pensioners over the age of 70 from July 1, which means that the next year budget will include the pension increase by 50 GEL.
According to the Prime Minister, the remuneration for full-time teachers is increasing both in the current and future academic years which means that by 2020 teachers' salaries will increase by 300 GEL.
By the year 2020, the salary of kindergarten teachers will increase by GEL 100. Salaries for law enforcement officers, soldiers and people with similar backgrounds will continue to increase by at least 125 GEL.
From July 1, 2020 the salaries of village doctors will also increase by 100 GEL.
The draft of the budget for 2020 has not been publicly published yet.
