Winner of anti  COVID-19 online hackathon revealed

The winner of the online coronavirus hackathon is the Edison Tech team.

The company received a sponsorship of 20,000 GEL to carry out its project, the Innovation and Technology Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia reports.

The Edison Tech project aims to develop a portable breathing apparatus for both critical situations and home for people of any age.

The Edison Tech project will help Georgia cope effectively with the global challenge, and there will be no shortage of breathing apparatus in the country, if necessary.

The Georgian government will also support the ideas of two other participants in the online hackathon:

The MIZ-MASK raised a concept of reusable electric masks protecting against viral infection, destroy the virus by 99.999%, and automatically regulate the airflow for people suffering from respiratory problems.

Kvalifika is a joint team of VOBI, and JSC Identity and Trust Solutions which raised an idea to help companies amid ongoing crisis successfully continue their activities and meet market demand.

Besides, this project allows companies to prevent fraud and carry out all online operations.

The online hackathon opened on March 24, 2020, by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava.
