''If Georgia needs financial assistance concerning coronavirus, we are ready to provide it with our support,'' Sebastian Molineus, the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, said.

In his words, the new coronavirus creates severe threats for the global economy, and Georgia cannot be an exception.

''The World Bank has allocated 12 billion USD to help different countries overcome economic problems,'' he said, adding the year of 2020 will check industrial durability.

He says the year will be hard for Georgia.

''We will see two factors: influence on the healthcare and impact on the economy,'' he says, adding it will be like an exam to Georgia.

Nine people remain infected with the new coronavirus in Georgia.

A total of 162 people are in a quarantine zone, while 45 remain in a hospital.

The new coronavirus claimed 3.385 lives across the world.

Ninety-eight thousand four hundred people were infected in total, out of whom 55,600 recovered.
