Employees of the Kakheti Regional Division of the Department of Environmental Supervision revealed 46 cases of illegal logging.
In the forests of Sagarejo, Gurjaani, Kvareli, Dedoplistskaro, Telavi, and Lagodekhi municipalities, as well as in the territory of "Fauna" Ltd, citizens illegally cut down 41 species of trees and plants.
In addition, in the same municipalities, citizens received a total of 10.7 cubic meters of firewood from various types of illegally harvested trees and plants.
Protocols were drawn up against the offenders following the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
