The Tbilisi City Court has sentenced the seven detained individuals for illegal creation and distribution of child pornography.
The closed session has been underway so far.
The State Prosecution demanded the defendants’ imprisonment.
As Prosecutor Mariam Gogoreliani claims, the parents were informed that their children’s pornographic pictures were taken, since each parent communicated with organizers.
As regards four other individuals involved in the case, out of who three are American citizens and two parent, they have already been sentenced to imprisonment. The court will discuss the detained Australian citizen’s case tomorrow.
Following operative and investigative measures by the Central Criminal Police Department of MIA, General Prosecutor’s Office, Europol, the U.S. and Australian law enforcement agencies, 11 members of the organized criminal group were detained on child pornography and trafficking charges.
