The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia says that a man, identified only as E.A. (DOB 1990), has been detained in Batumi after he and his six accomplices subjected three activists protesting against the construction of the Namakhvani hydroelectric power plant (HPP) to group violence. The offenders also damaged one of their victim's car. The crime was reportedly committed on 21 April at the rally site in the Gumathesi settlement, Kutaisi municipality, Georgia. 

As the MIA informs, perpetrators face four to six years behind bars.
