Grigol Ivaneishvili, the Former Chairman of City Council of Tsqaltubo arrested on charges of bribery thinks he is a victim of conspiracy.
“If I felt guilty, I would be silent I was working even at times when the salary was GEL 40 but I was always far from bribery. Shalva Tadumadze said in an interview that a new standard of blaming must be established. I doubt that this is the case. The special operation carried out by the State Security Service of Georgia has its reasons. It was planned long before the auction of the former City Council building. The State Security Service interferes more in local government matters than the constitution allows them", Ivaneishvili said at the trial.
Teimuraz Chochua, the Former Deputy Governor of Vake district is also detained along with Grigol Ivaneishvili. Chochua and Ivaneishvili have remanded in custody.
