According to the information spread by the prosecutor's office, as a result of the investigation, the evidence examined by the prosecution at the trial confirmed that in the village of Dzevri, Terjola district, F.A. in the presence of a minor child, A.A., systematically abused wife N.A. The investigation also found that F.A., who was under the influence of alcohol, mistreated minor A.A., systematically abused, humiliated, threatened, and banned him from being with relatives. Due to the severe mental pain and moral suffering caused by the above, A.A. committed suicide on August 23, 2020.

Law enforcement officers arrested F.A. on August 24, 2020.

Zestaponi District Court found F.A. accused of leading a family member to suicide and systematically abusing a family member in the presence of a minor guilty and sentenced to 4 years in prison, and acquitted of inhuman treatment of a minor family member, which the prosecution will appeal.

An 11-year-old boy was found dead on August 23 last year in the village of Dzevri, Terjola Municipality. On August 24, a father was arrested on charges of leading his son to suicide. He was sentenced to imprisonment by the Terjola court as a measure of restraint.
