Tbilisi City Court did not release Giorgi Rurua. Besik Bugianishvili made the decision regarding the case.
The judge did not grant the defense's request for bail.
At the hearing, the defense filed a motion and demanded the release of Rurua on GEL 10,000 bail.
The police detained Giorgi Rurua for the crime envisaged by article 236, parts 3 and 4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which includes illegal purchase, possession, and keeping of firearms.
According to the prosecutor's office, a new article added to Rurua's case, which stipulates non-compliance with the court decision and obstruction of its execution.
He has been sentenced to imprisonment.
On May 18, the city court left Giorgi Rurua in custody.
