Former Prime Minister of Georgia and leader of the party "For Georgia," Giorgi Gakharia, is suing his former teammates for tarnishing his name and reputation.

Ana Buchukuri and Giorgi Daushvili, members of Gakharia's party, filed a lawsuit with the Prosecutor's Office.

The case concerns the statements of the leaders of the "Georgian Dream," who accused the former Prime Minister of drug use.

"There have been very serious drug charges against the leader of our team and us; this is a crime. Therefore, we demand from the prosecutor's office to conduct a fast, transparent, and effective investigation, and first of all, Irakli Kobakhidze should be interrogated.

If Gakharia's crime is not proven, and of course it will not be proven, Irakli Kobakhidze should be held responsible for false interrogation," said Anna Buchukuri.

Irakli Kobakhidze called his former teammate "Kokainshiki". On September 17, Giorgi Gakharia published the results of a drug test, according to which it was not confirmed that he uses drugs.
