The Labour Inspection Service of Georgia, along with other supervisory bodies, has temporarily closed about 15 facilities in the last five days and fined 30 natural and legal persons in Georgia. 

The Labour Inspection Service only has imposed GEL 10,000 fines upon 18 legal persons and GEL 2,000 on 12 natural persons after they defied coronavirus recommendations and kept carrying out forbidden operations. A total of 13 facilities have been temporarily closed. 

Specific activities are being implemented to raise public awareness in the country, with 2,391 facilities inspected and given recommendations, 2,142 written and 249 verbal warnings issued. 

The Labour Inspection Service, municipal supervisory bodies, the National Food Agency, patrol, and criminal police monitor compliance with COVID regulations countrywide.
