Georgia's Labour Inspection Service suspends operation of around 20 facilities in week

The Labour Inspection Service of Georgia has temporarily closed about 35 facilities in the last week and fined around 35 natural and legal persons in Georgia.

Beka Peradze, the Head of the Labour Inspection Service, said that tourism sector employees and those working at food facilities will be obliged to undergo regular COVID-19 tests every two weeks. He plans to submit the corresponding initiative to the Coordination Council of Georgia.

Mr. Peradze called upon food sector employees to follow all regulations carefully. He once again introduced them to lawful penalties in the event of noncompliance with the regulations.
