Officers of the Isani-Samgori Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department, as a result of operative and investigative actions, have detained M.B., born in 1971, in Tbilisi on charges of the attempted premeditated murder of a family member. The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed report.ge about the crime.
"The investigation established that the accused man out of jealousy inflicted several wounds on the body of his ex-wife, L.G., born in 1970, with a cold weapon, on October 5. The wounded woman was taken to the hospital, where she is receiving appropriate medical care.
Law enforcers arrested M.B. within hours of the incident, on a hot pursuit. The investigation is underway under Article 109, 11 Prima-19, Part 2, Subparagraph "v" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates an attempted premeditated murder of a family member," the statement reads.
