Customs officers of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance at the Guguti customs checkpoint, based on suspicion, as a result of inspecting a car and hand luggage of an Armenian citizen H.S., prevented attempts to smuggle undeclared $ 20,000 and 1,000,000 Russian rubles across the country, the Revenue Service reports.
The undeclared amount in foreign currency amounted to GEL 103,603 according to the exchange rate of the National Bank. According to Article 169, Part 3 of the Customs Code of Georgia, a violating citizen was fined GEL 10,360.3 as a sanction.
