Employees of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance have launched criminal proceedings against six people for making and using forged documents, misappropriation of state property, and official indifference.
As report.ge was informed by the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance, the investigation established that one of the defendants, with the help of two employees of the City Hall and three false witnesses, fraudulently registered four plots of land in the village of Tsitelsopeli, Kareli Municipality, with a total area of 5477 m2. The total market value of illegally acquired land plots is GEL 52 678.
As soon as the investigation was launched, illegally owned land plots were seized.
According to the agency, the investigation is underway under Article 180, Part 3, Article 362, Part 3, and Article 342, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment for a term of 6 to 9 years.
