The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has charged D.D. with the attempted premeditated murder committed with special brutality in Tbilisi on August 9.
An investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs has established that on August 9, 2021, in Tbilisi, intentionally and with particular cruelty D.D., inflicted multiple wounds on various parts of the body with a knife on a woman he knew, a 38-year-old M.M., at her home and fled the scene. As a result of timely medical intervention, M.M. was saved.
Law enforcers arrested D.D. the same day. He is charged with Article 19,109, Part 3, Subparagraph B of the Criminal Code of Georgia (attempted premeditated murder, committed with special cruelty), which envisages 16 to 20 years of imprisonment as a form of punishment.
The Prosecutor's Office will apply to the Tbilisi City Court today as a measure of restraint for D.D.
