Based on the motion submitted by the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia, the court on the fact of the attempted premeditated murder of 5 people, including a minor, in Akhalkalaki municipality sentenced the accused to imprisonment as a measure of restraint.
As report.ge was informed by the General Prosecutor's Office, according to the investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on December 7, in the village of Patara Samsarsi, Akhalkalaki Municipality, the defendant was convicted of domestic violence and physically assaulted his wife in the presence of his minor children. On December 11, he stabbed the parents of his wife, sister, wife of her brother, and the minor child and then fled the scene.
"He was charged with attempted premeditated murder committed against three persons, including a juvenile with prior knowledge, which envisages 16 to 20 years of imprisonment as a form of punishment. The criminal case is under investigation," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
