Mariana Choloyani, convicted of forcing 15-year-old Luka Siradze to testify, has been released from prison.
According to Choloyani's lawyer, Gagi Mosiashvili, Choloyani was released on parole by the decision of the so-called UDO commission.
Mariana Choloyani has already left the penitentiary institution.
15-year-old Luka Siradze jumped from the ninth floor of a residential building in Tbilisi after interrogation. The teenager died on December 17, 2019, in Iashvili Clinic.
Mariana Choloyani, an investigator of the Didube-Chugureti Police Department, was detained by the State Inspector's Office for pressuring him and forcing him to testify.
The arrested investigator was sentenced to imprisonment on December 19, 2019, as a measure of restraint. She was sentenced on September 7, 2020, to 3 years in prison.
