Police officers at the rally on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi for illegal interference in the professional activities of the representatives of the media and threats of violence arrested three persons: convicted in the past, M.D., born in 1982, Z.Ch., born in 1983, and also, convicted in the past, Z.M., born in 1979.

The detainees obstructed the journalistic activities of the Rustavi 2, the Mtavari channel, Tabula, and the news agency Newpost and inflicted physical injuries on them.

"Active investigative actions are underway to identify the persons involved in the acts of violence and violations of the law. According to the data, 25 representatives of various media outlets have already been interviewed, and materials covering the incidents are being studied," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

On July 5, media representatives were attacked during a rally against the "March of Dignity" planned in Tbilisi. More than 40 journalists and cameramen were injured.
