The trial of the third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, on the case of illegal crossing of the state border will be held today in the Tbilisi City Court.
The hearing is scheduled for 12:00 in Tbilisi City Court.
It is unknown if Saakashvili will attend the trial. According to the lawyers, it depends on his health condition.
The first substantive hearing of the case will be held at the court session today. Procedurally, the parties have to utter introductory words.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation into the illegal crossing of the border by Mikheil Saakashvili on October 1. In the framework of the case, four more persons have been charged - Elguja Tsomaia, Zurab and Shalva Tsotsoria, and Giorgi Narimanidze.
