The Constitutional Court hears the lawsuit filed by the Georgian Gospel Church of Faith, the Georgian Muslim Union, and other religious organizations.

The plaintiffs note that the norms prohibit them from buying state-owned property when the Georgian Orthodox Church has this opportunity. The plaintiffs consider that the rules are discriminative based on religion, and are thereby violating the constitutionally guaranteed right to equality.
