Public Defender of Georgia Nino Lomjaria responds to another decision of the Strasbourg court in the case of Mikheil Saakashvili.
The ombudsman writes on Facebook that Strasbourg instructed the government to provide adequate treatment to Mikheil Saakashvili, citing the conclusion of a group of ombudsman experts.
"What will they say now that the "fake" and the unprofessionally executed medical report became the basis for the decision of the Strasbourg court? On November 19, the Strasbourg court issued a temporary measure and, according to the conclusion of the ombudsman's expert group, the state was instructed to provide adequate treatment to Mikheil Saakashvili," Nino Lomjaria writes.
In a letter sent to the lawyers of the former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, the European Court of Human Rights states that the interim measures taken in the case of Mikheil Saakashvili will be discussed on November 24, after receiving information from the Georgian government.
