Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi, and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department charged T.K., born in 1994, with assaulting a police officer in Khoni.
On June 21 of 2021, in Khoni, T.K., under the influence of alcohol, violated the rules of restriction of movement after 23:00. T.K., who was stopped by the police, resisted the law enforcers, verbally and physically abusing them. Both the accused and one police officer were injured during the arrest. The injured are undergoing treatment at the clinic.
The fact of resistance against a police officer in connection with official activities is being investigated under the first part of Article 353 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
