Officers of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Division of the Investigation Department detained one person for the fact of misappropriation of a large amount of state property by making and using forged documents.
The accused, using fake documents, registered six state-owned land plots in Mtskheta Municipality, with a total area of 28,800 m2 to arrange a homestead/family farm. According to the conclusion of the commodity examination assigned to the case, the market value of the illegally acquired land is GEL 2,919,977.
The offense is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 6 to 9 years.
