Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia arrested 3 citizens, including patrol-inspector, on the charge of crossing the border and abuse of power.
According the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance, the defendants contacted a probationer who was not authorized to cross the border and told him they could influence the Georgian State Border Patrol Inspector in return for $ 5,000. As a result this person would be allowed to cross the state border without any delay.
Following the agreement, the person illegally crossed the State Border of Georgia.
The crime envisages from 3 to 5 years of imprisonment.
