According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, one person was arrested in Gldani on February 27 on charges of intentionally causing severe health damage.
The detainee confessed to the crime.
"The investigation established that on February 27 of 2021, in the fourth micro-district of Gldani, in the vicinity of one of the residential buildings, a dispute took place between several people. The accused A.Sh. used a knife to injure two persons - O.I., born in 1993, and L.K., born in 1982 - and fled the scene. The lives of the injured are not in danger," the statement said
The incident is being investigated under Articles 117 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulate intentional bodily harm and illegal purchase-storage-carrying of firearms.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of 3 to 6 years in prison.
