According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on July 6, 100 people were administratively detained for violating the law on Rustaveli Avenue. Sixty-eight of the detainees were released on bail, while 32 remain in pre-trial detention.

"The protest of some citizens gathered in front of the Parliament against the rally went beyond the law on freedom of expression and peaceful assembly; the rally took on a violent character.

Two people are detained on the spot as accused. I.Y., born in 1989, for violence against the operator of "Palitra News" and unlawful interference with professional activities.

As for the second person arrested, G.Sh., born in 1965, damaged the side windshield of a patrol police car.

Despite numerous calls, protesters resisted the Interior Ministry staff, throwing various items, resulting in three law enforcement officers receiving health damage. Police vehicles were damaged as a result of the violent actions," mentions the statement spread by the agency.
