Employees of the Poti City Division of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative measures, arrested B.K., born in 2002, in hot pursuit on charges of intentional grievous bodily harm.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of 3 to 6 years in prison.
"The investigation established that the accused stabbed A.P., born in 1999, with a cold weapon on Davit Agmashenebeli Street in Poti and fled the scene. The wounded man was taken to hospital.
Police seized the weapon of the crime - a knife as evidence. The fact of serious intentional damage to health is being investigated under Article 117, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
