The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia releases a statement, where the conclusion of the expertise on the death and violence towards Giorgi Shakarashvili is presented.
The statement reveals that according to the conclusion of the commission medical examination, Giorgi Shakarashvili was indeed physically abused.
"The Georgian Prosecutor's Office has received a commission medical examination report on Giorgi Shakarashvili's murder, which once again confirms the fact of Giorgi Shakarashvili's murder and physical violence against him before the murder. According to the conclusion of the commission medical examination, Giorgi Shakarashvili had injuries in different parts of his body. Due to their nature, they got developed with at least nine blows by the leg, hand, or other dense-blunt objects. This directly indicates that Giorgi Shakarashvili was severely beaten before his murder, after which he was thrown into the water. According to the same report, the injury to Giorgi Shakarashvili's abdomen developed from hitting the body with a shoe, thus excluding the common version that Giorgi Shakarashvili received the injury by colliding with the dam under the bridge," the statement reads.
