Special Penitentiary Service of Georgia issues statement on ex-president

The Special Penitentiary Service of Georgia has spread a statement saying that defendant Mikheil Saakashvili has a TV set in his prison cell and reports on their unwillingness to provide him with a TV set are false.

According to the statement, Saakashvili was provided with a card to which a limited amount was transferred, and he has already received a TV set.

The statement goes on to say that allegations that he was not given personal items such as a mattress topper are also a lie.

Mikheil Saakashvili, the third president of Georgia, was detained on 1 October.
