Employees of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Health, Labour and Social Affairs of Georgia, as a result of operative-investigative actions, based on the judge's decision, arrested the Chief Specialist of the Registration Division of the Ministry at the LEPL "Agency for Providing IDPs, Eco-Migrants and Livelihoods" for taking bribes.

According to the State Security Service, the investigation will establish that an employee of the agency systematically received various amounts of cash in the form of bribes from eco-migrants in need of resettlement in exchange for a positive decision to issue a GEL 25,000 grant approved by the state program. In March 2021, he took GEL 1,500 from a citizen in exchange for a house in Tsalka district and GEL 2,000 in exchange for a house in Adigeni district in May of the same year.

Other cases have been identified, and investigative actions are underway into the bribery.

The investigation is being conducted by the anti-corruption agency of the State Security Service.
