Tamar Bachaliashvili committed suicide - prosecutor's office completes investigation - VIDEO

The prosecutor's office has terminated the investigation into the death of Tamar Bachaliashvili. As the prosecutor Amiran Guluashvili stated at the briefing held at the Prosecutor's Office, the investigation into the case has been completed, and it has been established that Tamar Bachaliashvili ended her life by committing suicide.

"The corpse was examined on July 22, and according to the forensic examination report, it had been about four days since her death. According to the same expert report, there were no signs of mechanical damage on Tamar Bachaliashvili's body, including traces of injection. Damages characteristic of mechanical impact were also not noted on Tamar Bachaliashvili's clothes. Consequently, along with other evidence in the case, all versions of Tamar Bachaliashvili's violent death were refuted by infallible expert research.

A joint, consistent, and logical analysis of the evidence in the case unequivocally confirms that no crime was committed against Tamar Bachaliashvili and that she committed suicide," the Prosecutor's Office revealed.

Yesterday, Bachaliashvili's family was summoned to the prosecutor's office together with their lawyers to get acquainted with the case materials.

On December 15, the family's lawyer told report.ge that the investigation agency might end the case under the article leading to suicide. According to Mikheil Ramishvili, the conclusion of the examination is carried out according to the instructions and is based on changed, groundless testimonies.

23-year-old Tamar Bachaliashvili, who disappeared from Ponichala, was found dead in her car in Tetritskaro on July 22, 4 days later.

The case is being investigated under the articles of illegal deprivation of liberty and leading individuals to suicide.

On September 18, at a briefing at the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia, it was stated that the cause of death as a result of the examination of the corpse and the summary of the case file was drug intoxication.

The family does not believe the version of the investigation. Teona Tamazashvili claims that her daughter was killed.
