The Minister of Justice welcomes the initiation of investigation of presidential pardoning cases.According to Tea Tsulukiani there are question marks with this regards which need to be answered by the prosecution.Tea Tsulukiani avoids concrete statements on the signs of corruption.
“I do not know whether there are signs of corruption as I don’t know the materials related to the cases.But there are question marks. As for me it is unthinkable that the President of Georgia who was in contact with us during the presidential pardoning in the New Year amnesty and had special concern of not making mistake in selecting the candidates for the pardoning made such decision in August” – said Tea Tsulukiani
She positively evaluated the pardoning moratorium decision made by the President.
European Georgia party addressed the Prosecutor’s Office to initiate the prosecution of the cases.Referring on certain information resources the political party states that the case of corruption deal with the participation of Dimitri Gabunia, the Presiden’st Parliamentary Secretary, is not excluded.Today Prosecution body made the statement on the initiation of the prosecution.With this connection Irma Nadirashvili, the member of European Georgia party was summoned to the Procurator’s Office for interrogation.
