Zaza Chaava, Zaza Mchedlidze, and Murad Devlarishvili, three people accused of attacking journalists of Rustavi 2, Mtavari Channel, NewPosts, and Tabula, were sentenced to imprisonment as a preventive measure.
The prosecutor's office demanded custody for the accused, and the defense demanded bail.
Zaza Chaava's lawyer demanded GEL 2 000, and Murad Devlarishvili's lawyer demanded GEL 3 000 bails. The third defendant, Zura Mchedlidze, did not have a lawyer and demanded to be left without detention.
According to the investigation, the detainees obstructed journalistic activities and inflicted physical injuries during the rally, using violence and threats of violence on the representatives of Rustavi 2, Mtavari Channel, Tabula, and NewPosts news agency during the rally against Tbilisi Pride.
The detainees pleaded not guilty.
