The trial of the June 20 case is ongoing at Tbilisi City Court. There is a hearing of Besik Tamliani, Zurab Budagashvili, Kakhaber Kupreishvili, and Tsotne Soselia cases.
The Court will question prosecution witnesses today.
According to Vakhtang Iashvili, the lawyer for the defendants, his clients are innocent, and there is no serious evidence to prove their guilt.
Iashvili said that as in previous sessions, the Court would question police officers who were only on the territory of the Parliament and were not in contact with the detainees.
"As always, the police will tell us about their presence near the Parliament, but they will not report anything about the accused," Vakhtang Iashvili said.
Police officers detained Zurab Budagashvili, Besik Tamliani, Tsotne Soselia, and Kakhaber Kupreishvili in connection with June 20 case. They received a prison sentence after being charged with participating in organized crime followed by violence and damage to property, resisting, and attacking authorities. The crime is punishable by imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
