The police have detained two citizens for illegal interference with the performance of journalistic responsibilities.
The MIA says that a citizen, identified only as R.A.(DOB 1985), with previous convictions and another citizen, known only as G.N (DOB 991), were detained.
Investigators reportedly determined that a Ltd Media Holding Kvira Kutaisi Bureau journalist and operator were subjected to verbal and physical abuse, with offenders fleeing the scene afterward.
The investigation of the case is in progress. Perpetrators of similar crimes receive up to two- year prison sentence.
The assault on journalists was carried out on Feb 15.
