Police officers arrested two other persons with unlawful obstruction of professional activities, threats of violence, and gang violence against a journalist - G.G., born in 1991, and G.Ch., born in 1989.
The investigation established that the accused G.G. and G.Ch. on July 5 of the current year, during the rally against "Tbilisi Pride" on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, in the garden of "April 9" near the Kashueti Church, obstructed the cameraman of the T.V. company "Formula" in his journalistic activities and physically assaulted him.
"During the rallies held on July 5-6, a total of 31 people were detained for obstructing a journalist's professional activities, namely: 27 people were arrested for threatening journalists with violence; 3 people have been arrested for raiding the office of Tbilisi Pride; the police arrested one person for violence against a citizen," mentions the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
