"The judge may announce the verdict regarding Mikheil Kalandia's case today," the human rights defender told report.ge.

According to him, the defense will make a final statement at the trial. Mikheil Kalandia will also address the judge. The hearing scheduled for 12:00 at the City Court.
According to the lawyer, Kalandia will tell what happened on Khorava street in detail, which he refused to do in the past.
"I think the trial will last for about three hours, then Kalandia will appeal to the court, after which we will only await an acquittal; otherwise, I will say that we are dealing with a political order," the lawyer said.
Law enforcers detained Mikheil Kalandia on June 4, 2019, for the murder of Davit Saralidze in aggravated circumstances on Khorava Street. He remanded in custody on June 6.
A bloody altercation involving teenagers took place on December 1, 2017, on Khorava street. Two minors, Davit Saralidze and Levan Dadunashvili, died following the conflict.
