Vice President of the Rugby Union Merab Beselia was detained for wounding Captain of Junkers Ramaz Kharazishvili.
According to the MIA, following investigative activities, police officers detained Merab Beselia (DOB 1969), who is now facing the charges of inflicting less serious harm upon another intentionally and purchasing, storing, and carrying firearms illegally.
Investigators determined that following a verbal altercation, the offender inflicted gunshot wounds on R.Kh.(DOB 1988), who was hospitalized later and provided with the corresponding treatment. His life is not under threat at this point. The investigation into the case is underway.
