Zviad Kuprava, the Head of the Law Enforcement Reform Center, was arrested. One more person detained together with him. Zviad Kuprava, together with the like-minded, conducted an act of protest against the possible return of Irakli Shotadze to the position of General Prosecutor.
The confrontation between Kuprava and law-enforcers occurred after he threw the snickers into the front-yard of the Prosecutors’ Office.
“The snickers are associated with the Procurators regime, Partskhaladze, Shotadze. It is inadmissible that Partskhaladze is re-appointed to the position on the will of a single person. Shotadze’s appointment to the position is a slap in the face of those who stood in Rustaveli street two years ago. We will not admit it.” – Kuprava said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed report.ge that Kuprava and one more person is arrested for breaching Article 166 and 173 of Administrative code envisaging the petty hooliganism charges.
