"Even close friends did not dare to congratulate me with the birth of a baby. That was hard and not the fact that Teo was born with an extra chromosome," said Lia Tabatadze. Lia is the mother of Teo and Dato. Teo is 11 years old, and she has one extra chromosome.
"The incredible power of motherly love made me do so much," she decided to share information about Teo with others, along with a lot of hard work and studies. Lia founded the Down Syndrome Association, which today unites about 600 families.
"Every child should know that mother loves them very much and no matter what will always be by their child's side."
