Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the parliamentary majority, stated that he supports Irakli Shotadze's candidacy for the Prosecutor General position.
Mdinaradze says the team will agree that Shotadze is a decent and professional man.
"He did not want anyone to question him and say he would do something to prevent investigation of the Khorava Street case, that is why he decided to leave. Now that everything is clear, when there are no questions, he decided to be a candidate for the Prosecutor General's position again," Mdinaradze said.
Two more candidates - Irakli Shotadze and David Kodanashvili - were nominated for the vacant position of Prosecutor General of Georgia.
Georgian Technical University nominated the lawyer Irakli Shotadze.
Shotadze resigned after a court ruling on the high-profile Khorava Street case.
