"In anticipation of 2022, let's evaluate everything we have achieved," US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan said in a 2021 summary video released by the embassy.
"The challenges of 2020 have tested our capabilities as a global community and have shown once again that no country can deal with them alone. We now need to work together like never before.
In 2021, a spark of hope appeared: the life-saving vaccine became available, the economy began to recover, the sick were cured, and after a long separation, the return to loved ones and friends took place. This year has given us the opportunity to mourn our loss and look forward to better days.
We have worked to strengthen Georgia's ties with the West, to rebuild and diversify Georgia's economy, and to take our bilateral defense and security cooperation to new heights. In anticipation of 2022, let us appreciate all that we have achieved. Our heartfelt thanks to all Americans and Georgians who have worked so hard to make democracy in Georgia stable and prosperous," Kelly Degnan said in a 2021 summary video.
