The court did not share the prosecution's charge of money laundering, although it changed the qualification to fraud, for which it had no legal basis.
This result is a farce because the prosecutor's office has not filed charges against Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze for such a crime.
From our point of view, this decision proves once again that it is the ruling party's intention - not to implement the Anaklia project, or if it continues, not with the participation of consortium investors.
With this court decision, the Georgian Dream government also expelled foreign direct investment and damaged the Georgian economy," mentions the statement issued by the consortium.
