As head of the Legal Parliamentary Committee Anri Okhanashvili stated, Irakli Shotadze has a high reputation among lawyers as he investigated numerous cases related to the restoration of justice.
''The prosecution system trusts in Irakli Shotadze as he is a professional. He has solved many notorious cases and conducted investigations into the restoration of justice.
Thus, we see a dispassionate reality that he is a professional. He made a significant step earlier when he resigned,'' Okhanashvili said.
As a reminder, the Georgian government presented Irakli Shotadze to occupy the vacant post of the Prosecutor General.
Shotadze held the same post earlier, but he resigned in May 2018 during the Khorava murder developments.
He left office as Prosecutor's Office presented two persons charged with teenager Davit Saralidze's murder, but none of them happened to be guilty.
