“Look how the government treats the freedom of expression,” Archil Talakvadze, the Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, said about the incident in front of the Radisson Hotel.
“This demonstration shows the standard and approach of our government in terms of human rights. The fact is that this group run by the United National Movement, the Shame Movement, is not working, but it serves as a good example of the right to express and protest, to gather and manifest. The public probably remembers that it was not possible to do things like this during the previous government. For actions like this, they used to arrest people, kill them in prisons,” Archil Talakvadze said.
A protest rally took place near the Radisson Hotel, where the 2019 report of the activities of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia was presented. Representatives of the civil movements Dare and Change were on the territory of the hotel.
