Bokuchava: Ivanishvili chose member of the Black Hundreds, Gharibashvili, to say no to negotiations

A member of the National Movement political board, Tina Bokuchava, says that Bidzina Ivanishvili has refused to sit down at the negotiating table following the request of PM-designate Irakli Gharibashvili.

In Bokuchava's words, Gharibashvili will have to hold negotiations under any circumstances, as international partners will not allow violent conflicts in the country.

"All partners emphasize that de-escalation of the existing situation is now critical in the country. Gharibashvili's election as prime minister and the empty rhetoric we have had from this ignorant high official from the podium clearly points to the fact that Ivanishvili is against the peaceful settlement of the conflict. He is against negotiations and favors violence. He chose a radical, militant, and member of the Black Hundreds, Gharibashvili, not to sit at the negotiating table," Bokuchava said in her televised interview with Rustavi 2.

In his speech at the parliament, PM Gharibashvili said that the government is set against holding any negotiations related to snap elections. In his words, the issue is not even under discussion.
